It's just over a month until my birthday. I'm a bit sad about it. When it was Lee's last year, there was a big suprise party for him. Going on last years sad effort, i can only assume that there will be nothing happening. Thats kind of sad really. I guess if i want a proper party i would have to organise one myself.
I think the anonymous poster is right i need a feel-good factor! By the end of March/beginning April my credit cards will be paid off. I'm not sure about a holiday in the sun though. I would have to go on my own, and i don't really have the confidence to do that. I am thinking about going on a pottery weekend though. Start small and work upwards! The repairs on the car came to 355 quid. Luckily i had a 50 quid off voucher, so it was down to just over 300. I put it onto the card, and i am going to try and pay off 100 each month, so that it will be paid off completely at the same time as the card which has got the most on it. I don't know if i can achieve this, but i'm going to try. I also need to think about putting away something like 75 quid a month to pay for car repairs, so that i don't get caught short again. I swear i'm not spending more, but my outgoings seem to be increasing too rapidly. I guess part of that is because previously i was putting it all on credit cards and now i'm paying that off (still) as well is trying not to add too much to my debt. Compared to a lot of people my debt is very very small! posted by (0) comments Friday, January 06, 2006
I decided to rejoin Slimming-world last night. Although i would like to join LighterLife, i can't do it until at least April, and my weight is now getting really out of hand.
Did you see the "Pay your mortgage off in two years" last night? I would love to do it, but i would have to earn an extra 650 quid a month to pay it off in five years... I'm also going to start doing some exercise again - now where on earth are my gym clothes? posted by (0) comments Wednesday, January 04, 2006
to help me with the crunch time in Feb, i have drawn up the outline for my project tasks, and will start filling them in now. It does say in the instructions not to do it until you have feedback from your tutor on parts a and bm but that won't be for at least another 2 weeks. So i'm going to assume that my project is acceptable and plan the tasks. I've also noted down the questions for the EMA so that I have these in my mind already. It's going to be tough, but then i do remember that i have until march to send in the ema, so i could write it just a little at a time. As i have an essay and a cma for my exploring the classical world course to do before 24th Feb.

Happy New Year!
Looking back over the two pathetic resolutions i made last year, it strikes me as sad that i manage to achieve neither of them. That said, i do still want to go to more spice events, and try and get out and about dating. I also want to pay off my credit cards by march, and then start on the lighter life programme. I've also been thinking about going back to slimming world, there is a new leader and a new location, but the new leader sounds a little scary. I'm going to think about slimming world. I'm getting a little worried about there being a fair bit of overlap on my current course and A219.The first tma is due on the 24th Feb for A219, and it's unlikely that i will have finished my current course by the end of Jan, since part of it is a 3 week project... Oh well. I foresee that The beginning of feb is going to mean a lot of writing and a lot of disciplining myself. Good job i have the DVR now, as i guess i could tape everything really easily and work hard. Or maybe i could write my current courses last tma whilst doing the project...i dunno. Well for Jan i just booked a quiz and a walk with Spice. A quiz will give me something nice to do one evening, and the walk something good to do one Sunday morning. I'm going to try and think about making lunch to bring into work. It will definately save me money. I'm trying to reorganise my house and put away some of the clutter. I have a collection of lilliput lane like house (i know, i know) that i do like looking at, but i just don't know where to put it right now. Oh i had a very quiet New Year. Everyone was busy doing other things, so again i spent it alone. I don't have the courage to go to a SPICE party after being followed into the womens toilets by Derek, so this is out of the question for me. I tried to hold my own little party, but as i mentioned everyone was busy doing other things.... posted by (1) comments |
